Keep your Roblox friends within reach on your Stream Deck. A plugin by Dloper.
Install from Elgato Marketplace · Dloper Support & Guides
Install through the Marketplace link above, add a Friend Status action to a key, then enter the account's Roblox Username in the property inspector. Use the unique account username shown beneath the changeable display name. No API key, Roblox password or command-line setup is required.
Enable Show game name as title if you want the key title to show the current location or experience name while the user is In Game and Roblox returns it. See the user guide for the complete behavior.
Check the spelling and use the account username rather than its display name. Roblox display names are not unique and cannot be used for account resolution. A renamed, banned or unavailable account may also fail to resolve. After correcting the username, allow the key a moment to refresh.
The plugin refreshes visible keys every 60 seconds, so presence changes are not immediate. Roblox decides what its presence service returns. Privacy settings, an unavailable account or a temporary Roblox service issue may limit status and location details.
If Roblox rate-limits a request, the plugin waits longer before trying again. Repeatedly editing the username will not make the service recover faster. Check your internet connection and Roblox service availability if every configured key stops updating.
A failed refresh should not be treated as proof that the user is offline. Open the key's settings and read the displayed message before changing the setup.
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Set Username | Select the key, enter a valid 3–20 character Roblox username and save it. |
| Loading… | Wait while the username, presence and avatar are checked. |
| Not Found | Check the spelling and make sure you entered the account username rather than its display name. |
| Unavailable | Check your connection and Roblox service availability, then allow the next refresh to retry. |
| Rate Limited | Leave the key configured. The plugin automatically waits before retrying. |
Select the key and confirm Show game name as title is enabled. The custom title is shown only while the user is In Game. Roblox may report In Game without a useful public location name, and the plugin cannot reveal information Roblox withholds. Very long names may be shortened to fit the key.
Roblox supplies avatar headshots separately from presence. A new avatar may still be processing, and network filtering can block the Roblox image host even when status requests work. Wait for a later refresh and check any firewall, DNS filter or security software if avatars remain unavailable across multiple users.
Opening the profile is the normal fallback. The plugin opens a current Roblox experience page only when the user is In Game and Roblox supplies a valid place ID. Private, restricted or unavailable experiences may not open. Roblox may also require sign-in, the Roblox app or permission to launch an external application.
An open request does not guarantee that Roblox launched, that the destination permits access or that you can join the user.
Confirm the username resolves and that your default browser can open Roblox links. If an experience link is unavailable, the key should fall back to the user's profile. Check browser pop-up or external-application prompts and try opening the profile directly from the Roblox website.
Roblox Friend Status uses public Roblox API endpoints for username resolution, presence and avatar images. It does not require your Roblox password, session cookie or API key. Never send passwords or session cookies to Dloper support.
Use Dloper support. Include your operating system, Stream Deck version, Roblox Friend Status version, the configured username, the message shown on the key and whether the problem affects one or every user. Do not include account credentials.
