Your displays, within reach. Physical monitor brightness, contrast, speaker volume, video input switching, and custom display scenes. A Stream Deck plugin by Dloper for macOS and Windows.
MonitorDeck gives you direct hardware control over your external monitors and built-in screens without reaching for cumbersome on-screen display (OSD) physical buttons. Adjust brightness with keys or Stream Deck + dials, switch video inputs between multiple computers, trigger custom multi-display lighting scenes, and monitor brightness on the Stream Deck Neo Infobar.

Enabling DDC/CI: Most modern external monitors support DDC/CI (Display Data Channel Command Interface). Open your monitor's built-in on-screen menu (using its physical joystick or buttons) and ensure DDC/CI is set to Enabled or On.
| Issue | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| No external displays appear in the dropdown |
1. Verify the monitor is awake and displaying video. 2. Check the monitor's OSD menu to ensure DDC/CI is turned on. 3. If connected through a hub, test a direct cable to rule out dock bus blocking. 4. Click Refresh in the Property Inspector. |
| Brightness does not change | Some gaming or HDR monitor modes lock brightness or engage dynamic local dimming. Temporarily disable HDR or custom dynamic contrast modes to test standard hardware DDC control. |
| Input switch changes to a blank screen | Ensure the selected input port has an active video signal from your second computer or console. Keep the physical monitor button handy in case you need to return manually. |
| Speaker volume does nothing | The monitor speaker volume action controls the monitor's internal speakers or headphone jack over DDC. Your monitor must have built-in speakers and active audio input. |
| Display does not wake from standby | Some monitor controllers power down their internal DDC bus when entering low-power standby. In this case, wake the monitor using your mouse/keyboard or its physical power switch. |
MonitorDeck functions 100% locally on your computer. It contains no telemetry, analytics, tracking, or network connections. Hardware communication occurs directly over low-level operating system display buses (I2C / CoreDisplay / Win32).
